Company Milestones:

In 2003, LOPA was founded in New York City.

In 2004, LOPA started to offer ocean and air logistics service in US-Far East route.

In 2005, the annual container quantity shipped by LOPA reached 10,000 TEU.

In 2006, LOPA opened a branch office in Los Angeles.

In 2007, the annual container quantity shipped by LOPA exceeded 20,000 TEU.

In 2008, LOPA signed a strategical agreement with China Shipping Logistics Co. Ltd (CSL) and became part of the CSL's global network.

In 2009, LOPA and CSL opened a new US to Mongolia/Mid-Asia ocean-rail route.

Founder's background:

Ms. April Shen is the VP of LOPA. Ms. Shen graduated from Shanghai Maritime University with a BS degree in Economics in 1999. From 1999 to 2002, She worked for China Shipping Group in Shanghai and obtained an ISO 9000 Certification. Ms. Shen received a MS degree in Transportation Management from State University of New York, Maritime College in 2004; she was certified for Chartering Operation at the same time.

Mr. Brite Gu is the CEO of LOPA. Mr. Gu graduated from Dalian Maritime University with a BS degree-Ocean Transportation in 1994. He served eight years on-board for China Shipping Group and made the youngest Captain in the company by holding Master license on ships (unlimited). Mr. Brite also received a MS degree in Transportation Management from State University of New York, Maritime College.
